Life and CareerEdit
Born in 1979, Rodrigo studied acting with Agustín Alezzo, Augusto Fernández, Carlos Gandolfo and the "Instituto Universitario Nacional del Arte" (National Institute of Arts).
He began his career in early 2000s. Among the roles we find some initial investments in television series such as "Rincón de luz", "Alma Pirata", "Resistiré", "Amor en custodia" and "Palermo Hollywood Hotel". He also had some roles in "Montecristo" and a minor part in the film "Un día de Suerte", directed by Sandra Gugliotta.
In 2005, he starred in the short feature film "Amor eterno", directed by Adrian Rocha. In the same year, he joins the cast of the movie "Complici del silenzio", directed by Stephen Uncertain for an Italian-Argentine production. In addition, he starred in the theater play "Buenos Aires tap" and also in "El pájaro azul". Pedreira worked with Patricio Arellano, Flavia Pereda, Ana María Casó, Vanesa González and Luz Cyprus on the show "El burdel de Paris." The recitation of Pedreira was reviewed in a positive way by the Argentine newspaper "La Nación". Rodrigo also participated in: "Doña Flor y sus dos maridos" in 2007, "El mago de Oz" and "Pepino el 88" in 2008.
Pedreira took part, in 2009, in the Argentine-French production "Fraternalmente". Pedreira worked for this film along with Fabian Forte and Delilah Romero and the direction Javier Goleri. In May, it is confirmed that his presence in the show "Piaf", which is presented to the public in the following months.
He received a nomination in 2011 in the category "Mejor en masculino intérprete musical off" of the Premio Hugo al Teatro Musical for the play "The carnicería". In the same year, he starred to star in the musical "Mamma Mía!", even though he was not included in the official list of the actors.
He has been portraying Gregorio Casal on the Disney Channel Original Latin American Television Series, Violetta since 2012. The following year, he presented the final episode of the Spanish competition "Violetta: Tu sueño tu Musica" on Disney Channel Spain, along with Clara Alonso, who plays Angie Carrará in Violetta.
