Diego César Ramos, (born November 29, 1972) is an Argentine actor who portrays Herman Castillo on the Disney Channel Original Series Violetta. He is good friends with Martina Stoessel.
Life and Career
Born in Buenos Aires, Argentina, Ramos started acting by participating in a theater group in his secondary school, that used to set up their own plays. At the age of 18, he started to study dramatic arts, and he also took singing and dancing courses. His television career began when a play coincided with the production of the novel Montaña Rusa (Russian Mountain) (1994), who invited him to join the cast in the role of Maxi. From there he participated in several television programs (Verano del 98, Como pan caliente, Gino, Sueltos), until producer Alejandro Romay opted for this little known actor to star Rich and Famous (1997) by Natalia Oreiro. After Diego joined Verano del 98 (1998) and a year later to Muñeca Brava. He then starred Amor Latino (2000), along with Cuban heartthrob Mario Cimarro, and joined the cast of Los médicos de hoy (2001). That same year he was called to be the antagonist protagonist of the Colombian novel Pedro, squamous, then participating in other Colombian productions: Ángel de la Guarda, Mi Dulce Compañía (2003), El auténtico Rodrigo Leal (2004) and Lorena (2005).
In 2006 Diego returned to Argentina called to play a role in Colombia's version of Colombia de Amas. It was also part of the cast of Argentina's version of the musical Sweet Charity, and then participated in adolescent television programs like El refugio (2006) and Patito Feo (2007). In 2007, Diego participated of the second edition of Cantando por un Sueño that was one of the revelations of the contest, being outside on the semifinals to Brenda Gandini. He also had a cameo on the small screen in the sitcom Casados con Hijos. In 2008 he starred in Los exitosos Pells in the role of Thomas Andrada. In 2009 she starred in the novel Herencia de Amor, which he joined in mid-season. In 2010, he starred in the hit comedy Los 39 escalones, with Laura Oliva, Fabian Gianola and Nicolás Scarpino. The following year, Diego left the work and was replaced by Fabián Mazzei.
In early 2011, Diego Ramos was summoned by his friend Florencia Peña to be part of Sr. y Sra. Camas, a daily sitcom broadcast, produced by the same actress for Argentina Public TV (Channel 7).
In the same year, Diego was asked to audition for Violetta. In November 2012, he began recording for the show's second season, which premiered on April 29, 2013. He announced the third and final season of the show in April 2014, it premiered later in the year.
